Thanks for the insight...makes sense but why would the friend and not the owner be doing it...I went immediately and brought him in the house...now have my dog on calming meds from the Vet...he's fine when just the humans are outside (and all other neighbor's dogs, even the little continious barking ones on the other side of us) but when they bring that dog out he gets upset...have ordered one of those electronic bark devices (not the collar but handheld). Just very distrusting of these neighbors and what they might do (could they poison him, pick a fight with him, etc.)...only positive is that apparently they live between 2 neighbors that don't trust them. I heard they called the homeowners assoc on the neighbors on their other side because their basketball goal was at end of driveway next to the road, etc. Lovely to live next to...just quess I needed some insight...of note the other neighbors really like my dog and bring their dogs over for playdates behind the fence, others from the next street like to walk their dogs on our street as it is a short and quiet cul-de-sac...worry for them but...was planning to move in couple of years...may move that timetable up...

Now that's a novel idea...my little boy could go have fun and I could borrow the pits that live on the other side of my house, he could fill them in on the situation before he leaves, tee hee...thanks for the advice, for now keeping mine up other than monitoring time or during the day when they are gone, they have been careful to only have the dog out on a leash as they don't have a fenced in yard, but that friend was back tonight to walk the dog toward my property, caught it quicker this week and my little boy came in immediately, think his "nerve" meds from the vet may also help...just ordered a colarless remote pos and neg freq device...heard good things about it...

dig deep pits and shove sharp sticks in the bottom of it.

works on bunnies, the neighbors kids and Jehovahs witless pricks.
