it gives us an idea what we were thinking before and after the draft pick, FWIW. And no, this isn't a continual thing.

Hmm, they must really dislike those OTs that fell from the 3rd and 4th rounds, projected. Both the guys I was looking at had "soft" in there. Let's sure hope we can get some kind of OT backup

with money available now, they might just go get a veteran. not that they specifically need an OT veteran, but they did have the ability to choose which would be their future, so now they go get the other guy.

Munnerlyn's an interesting one. Rated #9 by CNN/SI, but 22 by TSN. Short. Can PR.

BIOGRAPHY: Two-year starter who also saw limited action with the first team as a freshman. Senior totals included 44 tackles, when he also averaged 6.6 yards on 18 punt returns. Sophomore defensive numbers included 47/3/4 when he averaged 9.2 yards on 18 punt returns.

POSITIVES: Talented cornerback who flashes the ability to shut down opponents. Jams receivers at the line of scrimmage, quick flipping his hips in transition, and fights with receivers throughout the route. Keeps the action in front of him, quickly locates the ball in the air, and displays a nice break to the throw. Plays with a large degree of explosion, forceful up the field on the blitz or fires to the action, helping to defend running plays. Works to get off blocks to make plays on the ball handlers and wraps up tackling. Tough, plays with injury and gives effort. Shows the ability to easily run downfield with opponents.

NEGATIVES: Stiff and slow moving in reverse and very quick out of his backpedal. Has not made a large number of plays against the pass, although quarterbacks do not throw to his side.

ANALYSIS: Munnerlyn is an underrated cornerback with the speed, toughness, and ball skills to play at the next level. His ability to return punts is added value, and Munnerlyn will be a solid pickup in the middle rounds. He?s a defensive back who can quickly be used in nickel or dime packages.

    PROJECTION: Third Round

One of you smart guys needs to start a thread (after the draft) of best available undrafted players that'll fit a need or at least create some competition

We're gonna have to sign a ton of RFA this year to get to the roster limit since we havent signed any FA this year.

I like it for a seventh rounder. You're getting a Ricky Manning-type who also has return ability. No one should expect him to ever be a starter or even an adequate nickle, but he's the kind of special teams ace/4th corner who can hang around for a long time.

I was not a big fan of this guy but in the 7th he looks like a steal. He should help on special teams right away.
