could have been tackles--he was 2 shy of his career high this past season (59 in 2008).

Pretty sure it would be what pres said about defensive snaps. That's a pretty common escalator in low salary free agent contracts.

sounds reasonable. Agree on the length of the Diggs thing, too. He won't see 2014, not if Connor is as good as some beleive he is. didn't see enough of him due to injury last year to know how well he fits in at this level.

think it was a knee, he went on IR on 9-23 of last year.

    EDIT-left knee.

I've heard numerous people say that Connor only fits at middle or weak, not at strong, but I'll admit I haven't really thought about Connor's long term fit that much. I don't see why he couldn't, and the team hasn't been scared of putting guys at SLB of that body type. I certainly hope he never has to play any MLB, and I'd certainly like Davis to stay, so putting him there does make some sense.

The rumor in the other thread is weird, because the team could've plugged Connor in immediately. Unless they expected much more out of Johnson to the point where they never considered Connor.

Makes no sense to me unless they think he's too slow to cover the TE. He looks bigger than his listed 231, or did at Penn State. He's reasonably strong and doesn't let blockers get under his pads. I think he fits better at strong than weak simply because he's not very explosive.

he seems fairly generic really. He'll be an asset but you'd definitely need more explosiveness elsewhere.
