    you can't trade a player without making it known they are available

    I'm guessing he means that you can talk to another team about a trade, but if it falls through, the whole league doesn't have to know via the media that you were shopping that player.

    A little off topic but your comment made me wonder if the Panthers might try and run a Tampa Zone,Tampa 2 or something totally different under Meeks this coming season.

    probably nothing specifically different.
    When talking about corners, it's always worth noting that Meeks somehow made Jason David not look completely awful, so there's hope for anyone.
