    Agreesome.

It's time, I guess. Maybe it's just the sappy side in me that pulls for the blue collar hard working guys like him. He was definitely a team player.

With his off field run ins with the law, and Richardson's aversion to to players like this it doesn't surprise me as much. Hopefully this gets Hangartner's contract to be restructured and lengthened

while the Goings situation is OK one way or the other (we'll replace that with a younger salary), the Bridges thing leaves us with a grand total of no games started on our bench. I like Schwartz and Bernadeau, and the team has hyped them a little, but while I'm good with them on the 9 we'd keep, we need two vets. Given that we had a lot of line health issues, getting Hangartner back would certainly be nice.

As has said before, though, it's tough spending more than backup money. Behind Jason Brown and Jeff Saturday, Hangartner might be highly sought and we certainly can't spend more than a mil on him (and probably not right now anyway).

But, we found big, able guards on the cheap last year; we ended with way too much vet experience in camp last year and we can find two vets in a few months if/when Peppers is resolved. I just don't know how cheap we could find a tackle with experience.

Yeah, I know he's fallen to average-minus status, but I still liked Goings. Sucks to see him go. Dude's got way more heart than talent, and it gave him a longer-than-expected career in the NFL. Wish I could've seen him play more.

My thoughts exactly. I'm worried now that Hoover's days are numbered. :worried:

Hoover is safe for this year, they are not gonna mess with the running game. IMO.
