Wouldn't surprise me to see him sign a contract elsewhere for more money than he was making at Carolina.

It would surprise me. I think he'll land somewhere, but probably a vet minimum deal or something close to that. I don't think anyone could put on tape of Goings over the last two years and think he's worth more than we were paying him. Plus, he's into his 30's now. That's the end of the road for most running backs.

he was JFG who probably stayed too long...I can't see him being valued that highly by other teams myself

    4.5 + 8 = 11?

    I get 12.5...unless I missed something.

Sucks Goings had to get the axe. He was always a fan favorite but he wasn't effective as an RB and an average special teamer IMO. Hopefully he ends up on his feet.
Hackett was a given considering his production. I was expecting some more from him. Obviously health was an issue but we didn't use the 3rd WR effectively all year. Lack of talent? Jake looking only at Smitty? Not sure.
Bridges getting cut I got no problem with. He filled in pretty well during the season but kinda sucked towards the end of the year there.

We got more out of King and Rosario, individually, than Hackett, and are valuable in the offense than a 3rd WR. Jarrett pretty much machted what he brought.

12.5 or so really. The Gamble thing wasn't new.

Hate to see Goings go. But, he was valuable because he could do a number of things just OK, and special teams was becoming a thing he could just do OK. Still, it'd be awesome to have a couple more like him. I'm guessing the 3rd string RB is, instead of an $850k backup, a $250k rookie who can field kicks. He can even be Sproles-level small if we care.

Bridges leaves us with two very good starting tackles and only Schwartz as a backup.

lolz at people that were all "I wonder why Moose came, since he might not be active behind Hackett and Jarrett."

we could get a young backup FB, but it's equally possible that we simply use either or both of these two young TE moving around as a FB if we needed. Not like we don't use more TE than I anyway.
