I know a couple of you ordered the first CD from the 100's. They now have released thier second effort titled "Echoes". My dad joined the band after thier first CD, but is on this one.
He argued that his steel sound was too strong and they toned it down a bit, but he still thinks it a bit much. The old man is a perferctionist, but I thought it sounded pretty good.

Here's the link if anyone wants to order it:

Let me know what you think!

Listen to the samples and let me know what you think?

My Dad is curious what people elsewhere think.

Here's a review from a festival they played at at the University of Iowa...

They really gloss my dad in the review, which is about the coolest thing ever. See, when I was a kid, dad played in a pretty popular band around the upper Mid-West called the Wapsi River Band. His devotion to music played a big role in my parents divorce and just a few years later Dad split from the band so he could actually make some money.
After 22 years in the newspaper business, he sold the paper and went into semi retirement. He started playing again and eventually hooked up with my cousin Jeff and The 100's shortly after thier first CD release.
The reason this review is so cool is that I see my dad happier than he has ever been and he is really enjoying life. I guess it's just proof that you can put a dream on hold and get back to it at another time.
I watched him at an open mic night last night and I really wish The 100's would stick a microphone in front of his face for a song every now and then. He can still sing...probably better than he did back in the day. Last night was pretty funny, cuz it was basically a jam session where people would just jump in. There were peope for 5-6 local bands and some that should probably stick to singing in the shower...but dad was having a ball.
