yeah, it looks kinda rough. I do like all of the coaches I mentioned, and Krumrie. I don't have a good feel for Millard as a coach, he's less experienced than the others and while he was a good player, he had a cockiness/stupidness that I don't think translates well. Brett Maxie would make an OK story but just an OK coach. I guess you could team Maxie, a former Saint, with Venturi, who coached there when Maxie was a player, I didn't think much of that. They haven't coached together, though, if that matters, and if Maxie signed on, I would think it more likely that Mike Gilhammer take on more DBs responsibility.

I think that's the only positive part of Peppers coming out to the press and saying he won't play for us, that he might be interested in the 3-4, etc, is that it does generate some natural interest.

I don't know how much of an option it is for Lucas to stay at reduced salary. It'd take him being a team player, after him really, really coming through on the team front after the Smitty incident. I don't think they'd be interested in moving money around too much, unless it came close to what they'd save.

I think I'd really like Krumie. And he's white and scrappy too.

I wish Morgan wasn't dead set on turning his brain into soup, I'd like to have him working on staff learning the coaching ropes.
