Is he the type of guy that would tell them that a new guy was coming in

with his own staff, and give them time to find themselves another job ?

Just another way to look at last weeks personnel movement..

it'd be far more likely that they'd fire Fox and any staff they didn't want, and let the new head coach have a shot at the other coaches.

FWIW, I am seeing more defections from guys who were on successful staffs. It's not just the dregs that are available, and yes, many of them are lateral moves. The Pats lost two guys to promotions, but also lost a few for the same position on other teams; the Titans just lost a QBs coach that's going to go be a QBs coach somewhere else. I've also seen more latitude in coaches leaving with newly hired head coaches than I've seen in years past.

that makes no sense at all

he's have fired Fox immediately and it would have been the same for the assistants

He's not getting fired after 12-4, that's just stupid

Fox would have been fired first.

No, but those coaches could be choosing to leave because they're concerned that Fox may be fired after the 2009 season.

that could be true, but we don't know. It would be more likely to have been true after a second non-winning season last year than after a 12-4 season that probably buys more time rather than less.

by the time Fox leaves the Panthers, he'll have more years here than Cowher & Fisher combined

    Thanks

Normally they give the coach the option to leave or fire their

    O & D co-ordinators, but Ol Big Cat is a little different.

Prob too much thinking....I wonder where Fox`s pay ranks in the NFL ?

The Panther MO has been that

They didn`t sign 72% of their passing offense back

(Clayton & Green) after the NFL Champ game,

then after the Super Bpwl trip, 2-3 of the O line weren`t re-signed....

and the genius Charlotte press never called em on either matter,

just wondering how tight the purse strings were in comparison to the rest

    of the league....
