Anyone hear it? I caught the end of it and heard Buck call Peppers a "6 foot 7 inch, 285 lb girlie man"....

    Woah.

But it's true. Fuck Peppers. Half of us were singing about kicking this lazy fucker off the team last year. So he has a solid season his last year here, and thinks he has to become a linebacker in a 34 to be "elite".

"Anybody hear Buckner on yesterdays Frank and Buck show. He lit Peppers up. I mean he verbally destroyed the guy. Basically called him out, said he was lazy, said the Panthers never held him back-he held his on self back, said I know I played beside the guy-he has no heart. I mean Buck basically said Peppers has no motor and no heart. He said he is an athletic freak but he is not a fighter. He said I had much rather have a guy who is 6'5" and 250 that runs a 4.70 and plays hard and fights and has heart than a guy like Pep who runs a 4.50 and is 6'7" and 290 and has no heart or fight. "

"They asked Buck about that last week also and without going into much detail he said that they are not allowed to. He said it is the younger/newer guys on the team like Chris Harris, Beason, etc that give 120% would love to do that but for whatever reason are not allowed to. He basically said the organization has always handled Pep with "kid gloves". Something tells me you may hear some players speak out once he is gone. "

Apparently also said today that they should keep Kemo and sign Haynesworth, sign a young DE to do nothing but rush outside.

Buckner has been saying this stuff about Peppers for a while now. He's right about the "being treated with kid gloves" too. I've never seen a coach do anything other than basically suck his dick with praise.

Buckner says all kind of shit as a commentator in the Dog House on game day. The reason he can make such bold statements in that venue is because he wasn't good enough to make the team.

Just as an observer over the years the above is how peppers has come off to me. When a freakishly talented guy comes off to teammates the way he obviously did to Buck then that is going to be bad for chemistry. Though not nearly as gifted Buckner was probably better overall for this team.
Peppers was not and never will be a leader like Buckner or a fighter like countless others. When you're that gifted and have been around for as long as he has then he was obviously expected to at least give more than he did game in game out. He has not been a "give it my all" kinda guy . . . not even close IMO.

Even though some here apparently don't like hearing it peppers is a classic underachiever and I for one will be happy to see him move on and be overpaid by someone else :52:
