Trgovac runs what Fox wants. So did JDR, so will anyone else who coaches here during Fox's tenure. It is what it is. Personally I'd like to see a more varied, adaptable defense, although not necessarily more aggressive, but I wouldn't want to dump Fox for that reason alone. He might deserve to go for other reasons, and once he finally does, then yes I'd like to see something different on that side of the ball.

I don't know if that's actually true. We made Lucas and Wahle among the highest paid players at their positions when we signed them. Not bringing in any big names since then probably has more to do with the obscene amount of money we've spent on keeping our own players, some deserved (Steve Smith), some not. And as for your other question, you don't necessarily need a superstar on defense to win a Super Bowl, but I don't think the Panthers can do it without one. In my opinion this defense is just too soft and vanilla to have that level of results without superior individual performances. But who knows. If you can make the playoffs, then anything can happen.

Smoke and mirrors. That's about all we'll likely have to work with. :barf:

For the record, I'd be willing to break the bank to get Haynesworth. Don't see it happening, but if the chance was there, I'd do it.

Since there is no cap in 2010
Could they offer big signing bonus and back load contracts into 2010 when cap does not matter ?

Placing big F/A on the book in 09 for say 2-3 million each !
    Haynesworth

    Just wondering
