Whisenhunt knows a lot of their personnel, which is a big factor.

LeBeau knows Whisenhunt and Grimm, which is also a big factor.

    Classic matchup.

Just like gladiators. Offense vs defense.

I bet they knock the shit out of Fitzgerald a couple of times early on and he stops going over the middle. That hit Ryan Clark put on McGahee was just brutal. I bet they sack Warner at least 5 times.

That used to be a good strategy with Fitzgerald. Now he can actually hang with linebackers and easily gets off the jam from corners. I'm assuming that LeBeau is going to do everything he can to take away those crossing routes. Maybe you even drop Casey Hampton back and have him chuck Fitzgerald a few times.

Fitzgerald isn't Moss. The guy is tough and he's not going to be intimidated by physical play from the defense. The best way to shut him down is to not let Warner have time to find him.

Flacco actually has some decent time to throw several times but could not find anyone open. The Steelers are probably more comfortable letting Flacco look for Derek Mason and Mark Clayton than they are letting Warner look for Fitz and Boldin so they may blitz more.

Regardless of how big Fitz is he has not had to deal with a team has physical as the Steelers will be in a superbowl. That game with the Ravens was brutal. McGahee is a back and used to being hit more than any widout but he still got laid out.
