Coach Fisher talking about the 'delay of game' penalty

    I can take up to a second as the delay between the clock hitting 0 and the flag being thrown, but in this instance, it was clearly a little more than a second. It didnt cost them the game, but it certainly stung knowing they converted a play they shouldn't have had the oppotunity to.

    Fisher is on the rules committee so look for some changes. It's pretty simple, install a buzzer or horn when the play clock runs out. If you're going to have a rule, make it easy to enforce.

    A horn would distract from the gameday experience, it would suck imo. But a bright red square that goes off around the playclock should be enough to draw the attention of the back judge and help him decide exactly when zero strikes on the clock.

    Like I said earlier, just use the same buzzer system that currently alerts the refs if the replay booth wants to review a call.
