First many know Im a Redskin fan.Im not gonna say anything bad about the Panthers losing like all these Cowboy fans on 610 today.Panthers had a great season. The game this Saturday was a shock.Couple of questions.Should Fox have benched Jake even if just for a seris or two to calm him down? I know the defensive coaches are catching heat but Fox is the head coach and being a defensive coach why didnt he say Enough of this we are going to knock Kurt Warner silly like the Jets , Pats and Eagles did? Just a mind boggling game. This was a Super Bowl team here in Charlotte,What a lost chance for the Panthers.

Calming him down wasn't an issue, but benching him because he was killing the team would have been understandable. I imagine that Fox thought making a change would have panicked the rest of the team, plus McCown hadn't played much at all and isn't a good passer. If you could do a Superman and rewind time, then the Panthers could have won by starting McCown, but once you've dug that deep a hole I'm not sure what he would have added. Interesting question that I don't really have a good answer to.

The sack fumble was the turning point. It killed Jake's confidence.

That opening drive was stunningly good. And one fucking fumble got him all out of sorts. That's the most concerning part of Jake.

abandoning the run while down 14-7 (20-7?) was what killed them. Jake just added the gas to the already raging fire. There was still loads of time to get the runnig game going. this loss is on every Panther. from players to coaches.

.....Bench your starting QB? Hell no! Even though we were down by 20 in the 3rd qtr., you play the guys who you think gives you the best shot to win.
Pulling Jake for a series or two makes no sense.
I feel your pain 5th, but lets say you're the coach of the Panthers, and you know that Arizona has won 2 games on the east coast over the last 20 opportunities, and you know that you need 3 scores to get back into the game, and you know that your RBs rock but will run down the clock, and you know that your offense is being limited to less and less time on the clock IF we get the ball back...............ok coach whats your plan?

I remember how Jake got the starting job.Rodney Peete was benched during opening day.Im not saying bench him the whole game but to send a message do like Phil Jackson did and bench all your starters for a minute .Ive watched the game over and over and its amazing thre time Kurt Warner had.I betcha you Philly will blitz him back to NFL Europe. Why Fox chose not to is amazing

    I would've benched him, FWIW.
