Coach Fox

i have always liked john fox as a coach, but what he did today was over the fucking top class. doing everything he could to give brees a shot at the record was pure class and sportsmanship.

i love watching the saints/panthers games. always a good contest. i'll be rooting for the panthers the rest of the way.

i was being sincere. fox giving brees 40+ yards to complete a 16 yarder was very cool.

i think it will be a postseason with a lot of close contests and i'm curious as to how deep the panther's schemes take them. i was going to pull for eli the rest of the way, but now i hope coach fox represents the nfc.

 

Sarcasm or not, I was surprised the Saints didn't throw about 20 yards with a hook and ladder, or something. It would have given Brees the record, and had just as good a chance to win as anything else.

Of course, the Panthers were playing the D most likely to keep the Saints out of the EZ. Nothing else.

 

I think Fox called for the kickoff to go out of bounds so as to give Brees a shot at it. Too bad Brees did not take the opportunity to complete a safe pass.
