Kids downloading from Limewire she now faces 4k in fines

 

never d/l from traditional means. I have no idea why anyone would use Limewire other than ignorance.

I got caught twice in college for downloading off of p2p and torrents, and that was back in 2004. Only dumbshits use those now.

All you have to do is spend 5 minutes with google to find some forums where people upload files to a place like rapidshare. I get all my music, movies, and games that way now.

 

What were the ramifications for the twice being caught if I may ask.

These kids were probably not using any encryption s or programs to mask what they were doing. I down load blocklist from a good number of sources each week and use another P2P masking software and to date haven't had any problems. Granted I have slowed down a good bit but torrents have been my friend for 2-3 years

 

nothing, I was on a campus. They gave me things like a $25 fine or writing a 2 page paper explaining copyright laws. They also took my internet away for 2 weeks to scare me.

There was even an article on some news site saying how HBO put their own shows on p2p networks and torrent sites to catch people. They got me with an episode of Sopranos a few years back. So I now just get my stuff off file hosting sites like rapidshare.

 

I take it you think thief via internet is cool, albeit illegal?
