Wrong...The ball has to break the plane. If they called a TD on the field, then there was no evidence to overturn...if they called it down at the 3 inch line on the field, then there was no evidence to overturn. That is why the ravens got hosed

It's the thing about football that makes no sense. On the sidelines, it's two feet (in the NFL). In the back or side of the end zone, it's two feet.

At the front of the end zone, it's where the ball is, regardless of where your feet are, and regardless if you're going into or out of the end zone. And (on punts and interceptions), there are momentum rules that continue to screw things up.

It's not consistent, but those are the rules.

Don't see how you can overturn the call on the field. Suspect at best since the evidence was not indisputable. I'm not sure of the percentage of calls that people think have been bad by NFL refs this year, but they sure tend to be trending toward critical moments in games this season.

Hey, Ravens, don't let Pittsburgh drive the length of the field to get into that position.

Complete unrelated situations. In the back of the endzone it's two feet, since being the back, it's clearly already broken the plane. The sideline rule isn't relavant either since being in has nothing to do with being past a certain spot in regards to moving forward.

I watched it, on TV, over and over and over again. And what I saw, was that he caught the ball with both hands, before he moved it to his body. Therefore, IMO that is possession. Think about it, if a receiver catches the ball with two hands and never tucks it before going out of bounds with two feet in, it's a catch. He had possession therefore, before he tucked it. So IMO (color me stupid because I'm not a referee) TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!
