Buying a phone for the first time in seven years. I'm thinking of i phone, but I'm pretty sure AT&T blows ass and I don't know if it's worth dealing with shitty service just to have an iphone. I'm also looking at the Blackberry Curve and Storm. What do you fuckers think of those? TIMFAMFers.

I have a friend who is getting ready to get into a Storm for work. Will let you know what he thinks.

Still enjoying my Palm, those are getting cheaper now.

I've got AT&T. Never really paid attention when I was in Charlotte, but I get great service most places. The one time I had a billing issue it was a pain in the ass dealing with customer service, but I think all the companies are kinda like that. I'm planning on going iPhone wiht I'm elligable for an upgrade here in a few months.

I got an iphone a few days ago after being on Verizon for years. I was worried about the AT&T network, but so far it's fine. I demoed a ton of Verizon phones and demoed the iphone and there was just no comparison. The BB Storm is a cool phone, but it seems like it's just the normal BB software adapted for a touch screen interface, whereas the iphone was designed ground up for touch, so to me the Storm seemed kinda clunky. I hated to leave verizon, but the iphone really is an amazing device and I haven't had any problems with the network even here in Hickory. Charlotte should be a lot better because it's mostly 3G there, and Hickory is still rolling out 3G so we're still on EDGE. The iphone is awesome, but I'd recommend going to each network store and spending some time with each phone you're interested in and try to keep the trials in a short time frame so you can really get a good comparison. I was so close to getting a Storm, HTC Touch Pro, or Samsung Omnia, but the iphone really is just that much better in my opinion. Of course it depends on what your typical usage is going to be.

My boss at work has the Storm and likes it a lot. He was there when the Verizon store opened that day to get one.

Thank you everyone. I ended up staying with Verizon so I could add onto my wife's plan. Went with the blackberry pearl. I like it thus far. It's certainly no i-phone, though.
