Hey, ya know, the team is where they are, and the players seem to think it's calmer. May be something to that whole bullshit deal?

Jenkins has been an absolute force. What is the financial gain with him gone now? Any?

They probably did, and we just don't know about it. No one realized what a "cancer" Keyshawn was until he was gone...then it was revealed by some in the know that he caused a lot of adversity behind closed doors. One report I heard stated there were some confrontations between "team members" and Keyshawn (sorry...don't remember the source, but I honestly heard the report), though we don't know exactly what those confrontations entailed.

One player's attitude, whether it be positive or negative, can affect an entire team, methinks. I miss some of the things Jenkins brought to the table, but it was a needed change because of his dissatisfaction.

Hell, at least we save ten yards by Jenkins not wrongly anticipating the snap count two times a game.

The others have picked up the slack more than adequately.

Unfortunately, you are correct, Chipper...we just spread it around better now, rather than Jenkins always being the culprit.

NEW YORK JETS - FIRST PLACE IN THE AFC FUCKING EAST.

If some moron writer wants to be an idiot and make these retarded ass claims about Kris Jenkins, that doesn't mean the rest of you need to be equally idiotic and agree with him. Use your fucking brains, people. Jesus Christ.

I can't buy Jenkins was the reason for the Peppers suck last year, which killed us as much as anything (edit: on defense). But, fuck it, we need to worry about this year.

Speaking of Key, that deal earned Henning some serious demerits.

Things have gotten a lot better there since the first month. I don't see it being much of a problem from here on.

Jenkins has nothing to do with Peppers, no. Peppers is playing a lot better now without that push up the middle because Peppers is playing a lot better. In theory, it would obviously impact Peppers more to have Jenkins out there.

Henning's personnel issues played a part, certainly.

I have not had the opportunity to watch much of the Jets this season. I see Jenkins has 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks, but has he really been as dominant as the "media" seems to be raving about...or is it just the media making him out to be more of an impact than he really has been? A lot seems to be made of the huge turn-around in rushing YPG allowed by the Jets Defense this year over last years; however, consider the Jets 7 wins and the rushing rankings of the opponents in those wins:

    Miami - 12th
    Arizona - 29th
    Cinn - 30th
    KC - 16th
    Buffalo - 24th
    Stl - 25th
    NE - 8th

Not exactly stellar rushing teams, ant least not statistically this season. I wonder if the Jets run defense is not being overrated and if they do make the playoffs would not be surprised to see a good rushing offense dominate them.
