    dust the fries with potato starch (like corn starch...but not) before frying them. i do the same w/ regular potatos.

    potato starch can be found in the Intl. section.

    We tried making fries from turnips one time when I was on one of those low carb diets. You soak them in milk for a long time to get the turnip taste out then fry them like french fries. What you end up with is a fried turnip that tastes awful....

    i like them. though i don't mind the turnip taste.

    I guess if you already like turnips it might be OK. I hated them though.
