    Why are a number of sites listing Minnesota's defense as the top fantasy start this week? Sure they have a great run defense but their passing D looks weak. The Panthers "should" light them up thru the air.

    A weak pass defense and a hungry Steve Smith out to put the past behind him with a big performance is not a good situation for a fantasy defense doing well.

    Jared Allen vs. Gross worries me. Hangartner/Kalil vs. the Williams worries me.

    B /C alot of fantasy sites are still thinking last season

    Chargers & Bears are ranked just as high as Vikes defense

    Thank you..and yet I was wondering not about the fantasy aspect rather the real game aspect. One assumes the evaluation is based on what they expect to happen in the game.

    I think Gross will be fine, in pass protection anyway. It will hurt not having Wharton in there though inside. Hangartner worries me more than Kalil. Hopefully we will be able to get a big boost in the passing game from Steve Smith.
