I caught a little of his interview with Chris Mclean on my way into town. The only interesting thing I've ever heard on his show.

His voice doesn't sound anything like you would expect it would and he comes across alot smarter than you would think.

    Interesting quote about his book:

Jerry Stahl, author of Permanent Midnight "Hero of the Underground gives us a portrait of red-blooded jock as monster dope fiend. It's a savage, unsparing, eye-popping ride through the dark soul of big money, endless drugs, American manhood and our national past time -- self-destruction. Ex-Cornhusker Jason Peter writes like a soulful badass, and we're lucky he lived to tell the tale. Had Hunter Thompson been a football player, instead of a fan, this is the book he'd have written. Flat-out, mash-your-face-in-the-dirt amazing."

My dad met him way back. Said he seemed like a decent guy.

I heard him on Jim Rome a couple of years ago. He was hands down the most intelligent former football player I heard. It sucked hearing how much he abused his body while 'playing' for us, though.

He's a nice story though as someone who survived and may be able to help others.

edit: Forgot to add, his voice was weird for me as well. That review of his book is intruiging, I might have to check it out.

I interviewed him today (it's on now), and will be on internet tomorrow (if not tonight).
