I got your point. I've just never been a fan of someone who chimes in after a post when someone complains, to tell us all theyre a superfan good or bad, and thats what you did. Do you want a fucking reward or something? Eh.

Nope, that's not what I did.....I never claimed to be a superfan. I was just pointing out how great it is to be able to complain about our home team. I'm not indicting Wp, or trying to tell him to cheer up....I'm just adding my $.02 to a discussion on a disscussion board, and pointing out that it's fucking awesome that he can bitch about them and throw up his arms in exasperation, that's his perogative as a fan.
I already have a reward...that's what I'm saying...my reward is that I can bitch or cheer for a home team. Neither choice is wrong or right...it's just the choices afforded a population who has an NFL team.

By criticizing my post, you are exactly what you were bitching about.

Ditto. I'm not following the combine or draft news in general. We'll pick who we pick and sign who we sign, and presumably I'll care in August.

Yep, it's August and I still can't seem to care that much. Obviously I hope the team wins, but normally this time of year I've made a trip to Spartanburg, looked over film of some early season opponents, and gone over the roster to imagine what things might look like. Weird. Can't say for sure that it's even because of anything the team did. I actually like the free agents Hurney brought in, but I'm still not feeling invested.

It certainly is not like the "old" days when I would be counting down the days to the first pre-season game. I am pretty much the "rose colored glasses" guy, and over the years have generally been a defender of the players or front office instead of ripping them. However, last year sucked the life out of even me. I would see a home game on the schedule and be thinking damn, there goes a wasted Sunday. For me in Raleigh, I leave around 8:30 AM and get home around 8:00 PM. Long damn day, especially when its all to watch piss poor football. I was moderately excited this season and looking forward to the Indy game....I like watching the scrubs fight for jobs. Problem is, all it really took was this Steve Smith v Lucas fight and now I feel like its just a matter of time until another let down so why bother to get emotionally worked up again. I sure hope I can break out of this funk because as a PSL guy since 1995 in Clemson, it really sucks!!
