    The Oakland Raiders have agreed to terms with first-round draft pick, RB Darren McFadden. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, though a press conference has been scheduled for Friday, June 6 at 2:00pm Eastern Time.

    will help us down the line, I guess. Getting Long done so early has really gotten the contract situation in gear.

    Did his mother end up being his agent? I think I remember them talking about her desire to do so on ESPN in the three hours of previews.

    I hope Stewart knows he was drafted a lot lower than Mcfadden.....

    The NFL needs an NBA style rookie pay scale badly.

    No way that's gonna fly. The average career of an NFL player is much shorter, especially RBs.

    If you are going to pay rookies less money you have to shorten the length of their deals. I would say no more than a three year deal maybe you make it a two year deal for running backs.

    yeah, I don't think there is any question that the NFL needs to implement something to protect the teams from a total bust. The guys that really get hosed are the late round guys who really turn into something. Even though that late round guy gets a fat second contract he will never recoup what he lost by being a late rounder. The draft is just such a hit or miss thing that it doesn't make sense to have such a huge disparity in money.


    6Years for "up to" 60 Million for a RB who has never suited up in a real NFL contest is out of wack. Mix in the fact that he is associated with gang activity through his family and you have a perfect recipe for disaster.
