We didn't give up a first round draft. Otah will starting this Fall. We don't have to wait another year to draft another starter on the line

SHUT THE FUCK UP WITH THAT NONSENSE YOU COLOSSAL MORON.

Good lord, I am so far beyond tired of hearing you babble like an idiot and try to rationalize this clusterfuck. Yes, we did give up our first round draft pick in 2009. We gave it up. You cannot pretend that we did not give it up because it is gone; we will not have it next April. We spent it to move up from our second round pick. It's not like we just traded our first next year for a first this year, we spent it to move up from the second round. That's one less first day draft pick than we would have had, so stop pretending that we just took it early.

No, our SECOND draft pick this year will be on the field this year. We did not keep our second round draft pick. Otah was our second pick, we just got to choose him because we gave up our first round pick. Again, if we had simply traded our '09 first rounder for a first rounder this year, that would be a vastly different deal than the one we made. If you can get your tiny brain around that fact, I suggest that you try.

I have been reading this board for a long time, don't say much just try to take in the knowledge. I will say though, what is the difference of saying we used next years first pick, this year which cost us this years second and fourth, or saying we used this years second which cost us next years first and this years fourth? WHO CARES? it costs us the same reguardless, so why waste time, your life and energy over this.

Section B is a moron who is trying to suggest that we simply took our '09 first round pick early. That isn't accurate. The truth is that we gave away a first round pick to move up this year. The reason it matters is because it's one fewer highly drafted player that we'll have. Section B is trying to pretend that we didn't lose a player by making this move, but we obviously did. He's just an idiot.

Could we have gotten a STARTING tackle this year in the second round?

That second round pick we gave up was so valuable that Philly traded it away to Minnesota who chose a FS. There wasn't a snigle OT taken in the 2nd round, only 1 guard.

We got a starting OT with next year's 1st choice who plays this year.

We could have easily taken Otah at #13 and then Forte or Rice at #43. Unless you already know that DeAngelo would have been a shitty starting RB, that would have made a ton more sense and left us with our first round pick in '09.
Again, we spent $3500 for a $2000 item.
