    Panthers | Jarrett pleads not guilty to drunken driving

    The Associated Press reports Carolina Panthers WR Dwayne Jarrett has pleaded not guilty to driving while impaired. Jarrett was arrested March 11 after police said he crossed the center line and ran a red light in a Charlotte suburb. The police report said Jarrett's blood-alcohol level was 0.12, above North Carolina's legal limit of 0.08. Jarrett did not attend the court hearing Friday, April 11, where his attorney entered the plea. A Mecklenburg County District Court spokesman said a trial date was set for June 23.
