Really nice. Are those gardenias? Those are my fav. flower. Your grass looks really nice too, HB.

The bushes along the siding are gardenias, and they haven't blossomed yet. The one bush with all the white flowers is an azalea.

Thanks for the compliment on the grass. I filled in all the perimeter flower beds last fall with tall fescue turf (800ft2 worth). It's held up really well.

Thanks for the compliments, y'all!

I've never been able to grow much of anything besides grass before. Everything I ever planted died. So I started watching landscaping shows on DIY last summer, and decided to give it another shot. I planted all of that stuff in September of last year, and it's just started blooming within the last couple of weeks. I'm interested to see how it lasts throughout the summer.

If those are gardenias along the back, they won't do very well in the full sun. They need shade. If they're boxwoods or a holly, they'll be fine in the sun. The Petunias should explode over the next few weeks. Throw out some 10-10-10 and water it in well.

Clean slate, flower wise, or clean slate plant wise? Do you want color around your house or shade or a mixture?
