    If he's back to that kinda shape, and can return to his play of only a couple years ago, I'm not against them going another direction other than OT with the first pick, and leaving Wharton at LT.

    How will they know about his play before the draft?

    The same way they'd know about how someone they draft will play once reaching the NFL.

    they wont in either case, but you mentioned basing the pick on whether or not he comes back to form

    It was a hypothetical statement meaning I wouldn't be as upset if an OT isn't taken with the first due to the assumption the Panthers have done something as an alternative method to drafting an Olineman in this situation.

    Sorry you needed help understanding.
