I don't know. He look MUCH better in preseason last year as a OT than he EVER did as an NFL Guard.

This should give us the ability to not a force a pick for the OL. We could go with what we have and leave Gross and Wharton at tackle. I would still rather bring in a tackle since the draft seems to be full of good prospects.

    Wharton
    Brown
    Kalil
    Vincent
    Gross

    is not horrible.

Wharton gave an interview on an SC radio station that someone posted on another board. He essentially confirmed that he'll play guard this year. From what I've read, sounds like Brown could play RT also, but I don't know if that's the plan.

Definitely looks like they plan to have a lot of competition for OL spots this year.

Except that nobody really wanted Brown or Vincent to a lesser degree and Kalil is still a bit green. Have you watched Vincent or Brown play?

I would expect Brown, Vincent, and Fonoti to fight for two jobs. They apparently want a big, cheap RG and I'm 100% in support of that. Three is better than one.

Since so many want more direct snaps to DW, we'll start 10 oline men and DW.:bananalama:

When I say it would not be horrible I mean that we at least have some guys who have started some games. It is better than what we have had in the past where guys who have never started get pressed into service. I like the fact that these guys are big and theoretically more powerful than the guys we have had.

Ideally we could do something like:

    LT Clady or Williams
    LG Wharton
    C Kalil
RG Vincent Brown or Fonoti (spelling?)
    RT Gross
