yeah I don't see an advantage to smokescreening either. Whoever the OL pick is, OT or OG, it'll be based on what our options in 1 are, and if that goes to DL, then it'll be in 2 (or they'll pick a guy who's considered versatile like Nicks, that still has size).

This guy won't start. We have a couple backup types, and Vincent who has typically been a starter, and they'll likely take up two positions on a 9 or 10 spot roster amongst them.

Either way, I'm still fine with Wharton at OT if it comes to that. OT is the value spot this year (not RB).

Also, at first I thought this was going to be Ruben Brown, which would have been more interesting.

There was an article stating they would be picking up 14 + lineman to go into camp. This is what they are doing.

True. A guy like Brown or Vincent might not even make the roster.

That is what I thought too when I saw the thread title. His old but better than what we have right now. It might have made for a one year stop gap situation....

Why do they call the position OT, offensive TACKLE, when if he does actuallly tackle anybody, it's illegal and a penalty?

I wish every offensive player were eligble to catch passes all at the same time on the same play. Oh, y'all know what I mean..:yinyang:

Good point! Im fine with it! its a nice pick up!
it gives us good quality depth and you can never have too many O or D lineman on your team!

If you had so many you had to sacrifice other positions you would have too many.
