I took what he said as a "feed the stud" type situation.
As in, saying we're a better passing team so pass more. Not as much a personnel issue. He has a point - unintentionally we'd become more of a pass oriented team, minus our extra WRs, and now we got that fixed. If we didn't add a lineman, I feel like our pass blocking wouldn't be any worse than in the past, and might be better just given that our interior trio wasn't that good (I do still, obviously, support getting better there, especially for the run).

I love running out of spread. I don't feel like pro teams do it enough. It really doesn't change what you can do, unless you're into overloads, as much as it changes what the D can. DW is well suited to it, too.

I think we ought to change our philosophy on offense and go to a variation of the WCO. Davidson may have done that last year if Jake had not gone down so it is hard to say we have not tried it yet I guess. We do not have the personnel to line up and crush people like the Steelers sometimes do.

When I see people refer to us as a running team, I grin. Saying it doesn't make it so.

Capers said it a bunch. We said it and at least pulled it off for a while.
I see what we tried to do in 05 and 06, and saw a running team that had to adapt because of bad decisions. 07 we never really got to see what we wanted to do.

I think a good start would be to start posting something that's not related to this, as opposed to continually defending this.

We need to sign Jared Lorenzen and convert him to tail back.
