It's an interesting signing. I know he's nt suppsed to be anything better than a backup but suppose he does get back to his playing shape of yesteryear and can be a decent RG. Could wind up helping us big time.

no it's not IMO. he had one good year in the NFL and hasn't been able to stick on a roster in several years. he's a camp body that wont make the final roster.

I thought I read somewhere he's down to 350?? If he's that its not a bad playing weight for him.

they obviously think he has somewhat of a chance to make the roster considering they could pick up camp bodies without any tenure

Interesting pick up. Liked him alot coming out of Nebraska as he was that big guard we all wanted to see. Showed great promise in San Diego and showed he could be pro bowl material before he got injured and then seemed to struggle with weight issues afterwards. He's bounced around alot since being released. If he has gotten his act back together and can stay healthy (lots of iffs for a big man) he could really pay off as a cheap addition.

Interesting that we seem to be targeting Guards with size now over the smaller athletic versatile guys.

There is no downside to bringing him on board.
