I don't think he has the body to be a 20-25 carry guy for a whole season.

He's pretty much the average weight of NFL running backs at 217 and I'd venture to say he's heavier than that now. He looked like he bulked up quite a bit to me before last season.

i do. i think he needs 20 carries and 4 catches a game.

he's going to be great -- he just needs the reps.

people who think DW can't carry a load - state why.

I'm more broken up about missing Mewelde Moore at $2 mil a year than Duckett for free.

He may or may not, you never know but I don't know what makes people think he can't. If you draft a RB in the 1st you certianly give him the chance to try.

It's not like anyone is suggesting not having any other capable backs but him.

yeah - which is why I want to see what people think his limitation would be.

The top four rushers in the NFL last season were 221 lbs or less. Eight of the top ten rushers of all time are in the 220 lb range.

Williams will be great.....I just don't want to see him being placed in the 3rd and 1 position and expected to move the pile.....that kills me when they expect a guy to turn into a north south runner when they need a tough yard.....kills me I say......please bring in a change up back for the straight ahead short yardage.....please!

How big was Emmitt Smith? Did they pull him out when they needed one yard?

DW will be fine. He is not that small for the position.

DW is 5'9" and 217 lbs.

    for comparisson:

    Willie Parker 5'10" 209
    Brian Westbrook 5'10" 203
    Marshawn Lynch 5'11" 215
    Clinton Portis 5'11" 223
    Edgerrin Jams 6'0" 220
    Frank Gore 5'9" 223
    Lawrence Maroney 5'11" 220
    Maurice Jones Drew 5'7" 208

How many of those guys are you worried might not be able to handle 20-25 carries per game?

only jones drew was shorter in your list..

Beleive me, I want him to run all over eveyr team he plays. Just concerned the FO is putting all their eggs in 1 basket, and leaving themselves no outs.
