A Rucker-clone. 6-6, 280. I remember when the Raiders reached for him at the bottom of round one a few years ago.

    Scouts Inc...

2007 Scouting Report - Scouts Inc.
    Grade: 65 | Key
    Alert: None

Comment: Brayton has good upper-body and hand strength and can control blockers and shed them quickly. He has initial quickness and good straight-line speed and has a big-time motor both in practice and games. He relies on his speed and consistent effort more than athletic ability to get things done. He is a little stiff in the hips and knees and does not have natural pass rush moves or counters. He has learned the techniques and can get by with them, but it is not natural for him. He can be a little gangly at times when trying to change directions or move through traffic and does not regain his balance and control easily. He is strong against the run and may be best suited as a left defensive end so he lines up to opponents strong run side. He has enough going for him to be a potential starter for a lot of teams, but youd prefer him to be a backup who could fill in as a starter if necessary.

Scouts, Inc grade on Brayton is very close to their grade on Rucker. Sounds like he didn't fit in the Raiders scheme.

Not saying he'd be great or anything, but a rotation with he and McClover on running and passing downs, respectively, could work.

I said somewhere else that he was the younger version of the older version of Rucker....
