    The way he's struggled in STL, we might have a decent shot of getting Spoon back someday.

    Me too. Morgan's deal was 2005, Spoon was not re-signed in 2006.

    Not that I was happy we gave Morgan the money, but I never saw it as an "either or".

    I disagree. It didnt have to be an either - or, but in effect that's what most people viewed it as and in fact we kept only one. If the situation had reversed itself and we had been able to agree to terms with Spoon then maybe we would have had a shot at Morgan simply based on his injury history, had we let him test the market instead of Spoon he might not have left. Regardless once we got stupid with Morgan there was a 0% shot in my mind we would be able to keep Spoon.:sadbanana:
