    Thanks,

Yeah I thought getting Carr last season was spot on with what we needed but we saw that train wreck. I guess I am on board with the idea of signing a veteran to compete and drafting a kid who might be more of a long term answer. I am not as sold on Moore as maybe some are, but I think that has more to do with my concern that once there is enough film on him he wont be nearly as successful. I realize QB's are a bit of a crap shoot but I guess I romanticize at the idea of landing a franchise guy that we can count on year in and year out and it seems that recently the highly touted QB has faired better than they used too although I am sure there is evidence to the contrary, it just seems the young guys are stepping up quicker with greater success.

If I have to pick from that list I'd say

Devils advocate : What if we DID pick up a young QB in the draft (Ryan, Flacco, whoever) ? Suppose we suck this year, Delhomme shows a decline, and Fox gets axed next year ? We'd have given the youngster a year to get used to the NFL behind Delhomme, and now he's ready to start for his new coach to lead us back to the promised land.
