Moore needs all the reps he can get anyway. If he had been with us through camp and the preseason last year he might have been ready to start as soon as Jake went down.

didn't basanez have surgery shortly before or after the season started. i hope he's healed by now. i'm all about letting him and moore have the snaps in mincamps. getting reps with the first team and against a first team defense but not the pressure of winning games would be good for them.

    agree.

I don't think that keeping a guy who no one has confidence in, and keeping that cap space "through camp" when that could be a productive player, just because he knows the system, is wise.

Turner is probably a horrible financial decision, but damn I'd love to see it.

Sorry, I got back to this late. I was not suggesting to keep Foster. Not sure how you read that into my post. What I said is he is the type player that can come back with another team and finally explodes. It happens every year for certain players. But I'm glad they cut him because we have spend enough time and money waiting for that to happen.

Foster had a couple good runs here and there but injuries just killed him. D.williams is soo much better you can just see it he can catch and run he'll shater foster records. :REDanceBanana008:

I am glad Foster is gone and that the path has been cleared for DW to be the featured guy. Still though if we do not improve our run blocking it will not matter a whole lot. LT would struggle with two starting guards named Hangartner and Mathis.

I don't believe I said Foster was great or I disagreed with cutting him. More a comment on any implying Foster just plain sucked. He didn't. Regardless of his negatives, he did have some amazing plays and owned the Falcons which alone gives him points in my book.

Yes he does but what you're talking about, cutting the only other healthy arm on the roster, would amount to overworking Moore, as you work through improving the passing game. That isn't smart when he could end up as the opening day starter. Get another QB first, then cut him, but right now, hang onto the bird in the hand.

He's probably gone for cap soon.
