Does anyone know of a site (other than Weight Watchers.com) that gives point values for foods and how many points a person can have. I'd like to look into it before making the plunge

I think they keep that stuff off the net as much as they can. They want you to have to come and join to get it.

They have a good plan, I had success on it a number of years ago and I have considered going back.

Cool Beans thanks. Now for the authorities who've done this before how many points does the average guy trying to lose weight get a day?

Go to the bottom of the page and click on points list. It will give you a range based on your weight.

Ok I see that Here it is

    Weight Points
    Less than 150 18-23
    150-174 20-25
    175-199 22-27
    200-224 24-29
    225-249 26-31
    250-274 28-33
    275-299 29-34
    300-324 30-35
    325-349 31-36
    More than 350 32-37

Let me see if I am following you. If I were 220 and wanted to lose weight I should eat 24-29 points. As I lose I have to eat less points?

As you get smaller you burn fewer calories per day.
