Jesus Christ, Marty. Go to bed. Take a shower while you're at it.

That is a gross overestimation. It's more like 10-15, and again, we still have the second fewest number of players signed for next season, including some premium positions like offensive tackle. It's going to take most if not all of that money just to fill those holes. We don't have enough money to do that and improve substantially in other areas.

according to the report, that's $13.3 million without making any moves, plus the space we had. So, if we do anything with Peppers, $20+ million seems more than realistic, and that's without any other moves.

If Peppers gets a huge contract extension, then yes, the situation improves. But as of right now, we're in the bottom tier in terms of cap space with the second fewest players signed of any team in the NFL, with some of those open spots being very expensive starting positions.

So "only $17 million" isn't any less dire than "only $3 mil"?

We have our work cut out for us, but how an influx of $13.3 million isn't accurate or enough to start, I dunno.

    Are you sure?

    $13.3 million right now.

Foster, Morgan, Carr get cut. That's gotta bring us to $20 million.

    Right?

    Foster - $2.75 million
    Carr - $500k
    Morgan - $2.1 million

so...assuming the $13.3 million is right...those three get us to around $18.
