    her and tiger are friends...she made an off-the cuff joke that was quickly taken out of context and the media whores jumped all over it...tiger is cool with it, so should everyone else and her two week suspension is bullshit..give the chick a break, she went to DUKE for gods sake...:4:

    Tiger being cool w/ it doesn't make it any less offensive. Imagine if Tiger was a Jewish golfer, and she had stated that his competitors should get together and gas him in an oven.

    As far as her 2 week suspension, it's w/ pay, so it's more like a vacation.

    I guess Jews shouldn't be offended everytime Farrakhan makes an anti-semitic statement either. Or all those movies that removed scenes of the WTC right after 9/11 were a result of people being too sensative....

    Regardless of Tigers racial makeup, lynching, and it's history in America shouldn't be taken lightly or joked about. Do you think Blacks are the only ones that got lynched? If you look at how horrific lynching is, you would equate her statement saying that a woman should be taken to an alley and raped.

    Since when does a statement have to be malicious in order to be offensive. If I step on your foot by accident, I would still say excuse me, or Im sorry, even though I didn't intentionally do it.

    What she said is indefensible....but...

    She said it.
    She apologized to Tiger for it.
    He accepted her apology and said it's cool, knowing what she said was not malicious.

    End of story.

    She didn't make a blanket statement about all blacks. Farrakhan is known for his racial hatred.
    Tilghman (sp?) is not.
