I'm sure I'm in the miniority here, but I can see them bringing Morgan back on a pay per play basis as a back up only.

It would be interesting if they brought both tackles back. I think Wharton will improve with more than a year removed from his injury. I prefer an upgrade there but if not, I'd like a stud RG. Prediction: They will set their price and let Wharton test the market.

Keep Kasay another year, Hoover and Carter only if they are cheap.

    Let the rest go.

It's disingenuous of Fox to say "we're not far off". Sure, Tampa finished 9-7, but they rested their starters over the last two games. They were a 10+ win caliber team this year.

So actually, we're about five games off from where we need to be, which is a pretty big motherfucking gap. And it's not '06 or '04, when we had a bunch of close losses. If we were a few plays away from being 9-7 or 10-6, I'd feel much better, but only two of our losses this year were within a touchdown. Getting face-fucked, at home, by Houston (8-8) and New Orleans (7-9) isn't exactly "being close" in my book.

    Goddamn it.

I predict that Jenkins will be traded

I also predict that Foster will be gone

I also predict that we will sign Michael Turner to replace Foster

I agree. I like Fox...but his stubborn-ness, which used to be a good trait, is annoying. We're not that far off.....from winning our weak-ass division, but that's a little shortsighted, in my opinion.

Kasay was 24/28 this season, who would be better? He was 6/6 in the last minute of a half. He was 9/10 in the 4th quarter, including 2/2 from 50 yards plus. He did miss 3 this year in the 40-49 range and missed his first from under 40 yards in about a decade. Kasay is still one of the premier field goal kickers in the league. He won't be replaced because his kickoffs suck. I think he could kick for another 3 or 4 years unless he decides to retire on his own.

agreed completely other than I think EITHER Kasay or Baker gone... unless Baker gets busy in the offseason working to improve his kick-offs...

a punter who can kick-off is the only thing saving Kasay's job IMHFO

BTW - I though Carter was a RFA? can we tender him and not match and get a draft pick? i think even though he drops a lot of fucking balls, he'll get a pass for under achievement because of the QB situation all year

I predict the Panthers will suck ass again next year and Fox and Hurney will be gone. I hope I'm wrong but they have done a damned poor job of making this team better the last few years.
