Obviously, this is purely hypothetical, and there are more problems with this team than just the QB. But I would think that if Delhomme were healthy that we might be in the wildcard race. I'm thinking we might be 7-6.

if Delhomme were healthy, we'd have the 2nd best record in the NFC with a shot at Dallas

If Jake were healthy, we'd still think Carr was okay, and some people would be screaming (in print) for him to start.

Besides that, I don't think the record would be outstanding but we'd probably be at least competing for the division and would be seen as a team people didn't want to play.

edit: voted 8-5, we would have swept ATl and NO and won another somewhere along the line.

QB is not the only problem, but a healthy Delhomme would mean more time of possession for the offense, which means less exposure to the defense.

I voted for 8-5. He would be worth at least a three game improvement. He would not only perform better than Vinny or Carr but he would have allowed Davidson to open up the playbook and be much more creative.

    If Delhomme were healthy:

    Foster would stop fumbling
Peppers would be able to get pressure on the QB
    Morgan wouldnt be hurt again
Colbert would be able to catch
Our O-line would be able to run block
    Our Special Teams wouldnt suck
Kasay would be able to kick the ball in bounds
Our best returner wouldnt be a lineman

Basically, if Delhomme were healthy, we'd be challenging NE for the undefeated record. Thanks for reminding me that next year, when we bring back 21 of 22 starters, we'll be good.

Way to over react to people thinking we'd have a better record.

edit: sorry for being harsh but it's tiresome that everything gets turned into a referendum on the staff. I didn't appreciate them running that transparent BS rationalization 21 of 22 at the time either but the poll is what it is.
