Other than Collin, I think most here agree that David Carr is pretty useless. With the understanding - for the purpose of this thread - that Carr is useless, what do we do for QB for 2008?

Delhomme may or may not be ready for the opener. Beyond that, we need a capable backup.

    Will Vinny come back?
Will Matt Moore be the guy?

    Thoughts?

Vinny's already said this is his last year.

I say we go get McNabb.

It looks like we'll have a pretty high draft pick and none of the QB's seem to be top 10 material. I don't think I've ever wanted to use a #1 on a QB, but now might be the time.

I'm still 110% behind Jake, but he's got to stay healthy for one season. Sheesh.

Nope need to draft a left tackle this year. Sign Wharton who will be the cheaper of the two, and move him to RT, and then let Gross walk.

Second round we need a solid Free Safety to upgrade over Cooper.

As for QB, we need a win now QB, not a guy for 3 years from now. We technically need that 3 years from now guy too, but its not as high a priority as the win now guy.

Replace Gross with another Gross? I don't like that either. I think you can find very good OL's in the 2nd and 3rd if you do your homework. Safety is too high for a #1 as well, IMO. Top picks should be skill players, DE's, and CB's.

We're so bad, we're gonna end up with the #1 1/2 overall pick. Then we need to draft Matt Ryan.

Then we'll be set. Trade Peppers to Tampa for a 6th rounder, keep Fox but hire Cowher to coach special teams.

Nah the CBs are fine. As a matter of fact they've been underrated this year. We either need to Draft a good LT and sign a replacement for Kemo or draft a good DT and sign a replacement at LT. Like I said Wharton is a cheaper alternative to Gross. Gross will be up for big money and it isn't deserved. I don't have faith you can find a starting level rookie LT after the 1st round. Maybe a guy that could be developed, but not a guy that could play from day 1.

Nah, I was saying CB's are good for 1st round pics, but we don't need one. Are we calling Gross a bust? I'd keep Lewis over Kemo, but what about Jenks? We are really bad at LB and S. I could go for a OLB stud for a first pick. I think we can patch the line with free agency.

McNabb is the Jesse jackson of the NFL. Forget him.

Draft Tim Tebow. He'll be ready to come out.
