It truely does suck that he finally gets a shot, plays well, and then he's out for the season. Gotta feel for a guy in that situation.:furious:

Dendy gets to be a Panther for trick or treat
    --------------------------------------------

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) - The Carolina Panthers on Tuesday placed cornerback Curtis Deloatch on the season-ending injured reserve list.

Deloatch suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during Sunday's 31-7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

To replace him on the roster, the Panthers signed cornerback Patrick Dendy.

An undrafted free agent out of North Carolina A&T, Deloatch saw spot duty for Carolina, appearing four games and making four tackles. He appeared in all 16 games for the New York Giants in 2004 and 2005.

Dendy, who also was undrafted coming out of Rice, appeared in 16 games over two seasons with the Green Bay Packers in 2005 and 2006.

In 12 games last season, he recorded 29 tackles and three interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown.

did anyone notice that the announcers were so busy doing advertisements that the injured player was never identified, even as he was being dragged from the field?
