I know Carr thinks he has gotten his second chance right now, with the panthers or with someone else next year. If he can't take advantage of this opportunity then it his his fault.

because the situations are very similar. neither team faced an opponent that had time to game plan against them when they came in for jake. and in Carr's situation, he only had to throw the ball four times in a little over a quarter's work because the Falcons could no longer stop our running game.

I thought Carr was an upgrade over weinke, but it doesnt look like much of one. but hey, he'll get another shot this week. maybe we'll bring #34 and put him in the shotgun again.

But as someone else pointed out, Carr isnt the only problem. Our defense cant stop anyone. Couple that with an offense that can barely move the ball across the 50 yard line and we are looking at a long rest of the season.

Nothing, but it has everything to do with your insinuation that because Carr stepped in in the second half, tied in FG range in ATL that he can win games when he's the starter.

Chris Weinke stepped in behind, with 2 minutes left, and won the game. He could not win as a starter.

I'm saying Carr can't either. From what I saw of Carr in preseason, as the starter in Texas, and against TB, I'm saying Carr sucks and will not help us win games. I thin if we win games with him, we will win them in spite of him.

I hope I'm wrong and he lights it the fuck up.

I'm not insinuating because he stepped in that situation that he will win games. I am saying he is in a new situation with new people. It will take some time to get acclimated. There are guys who step into a game and light it up from the get go. They are far and few between though.

Remember Smith has four drops, Colbert has three, Foster has two with three fumbles after four games. The offense hasn't been in sync at all this season.

As for being compared to Weinkie, I don't think any of you would want to be compared to the guy that screwed up a job that you took over. A situation might have a similarity, but it isn't the same situation.

He's not going to light it the fuck up, but we have many other issues. We have no pass rush, and no ability to cover. You just can't ask for a worse combination on defense. Our line play is inconsistant, our receivers are dropping passes, our running backs can't hold onto the ball, we can't get field position from our special teams, Morgan won't stay healthy, and Jenkins is being a giant distraction.

Honestly, if these things aren't fixed, I wouldn't matter if Tom Brady was under center. This is just a poor football team right now.
