Cardinals | Breaston ends team drought
    Mon, 1 Oct 2007 12:30:07 -0700

Darren Urban, of AZCardinals.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Steve Breaston is the first Cardinals player to return a punt for a touchdown since former RB Johnny Bailey did it in 1993 against the Washington Redskins.

I know at least 7 people (off the top of my head) on this board that had this guy highly rated as a punt returner. but somebody decided that Ryne Robinson should be selected 35 picks ahead of Breaston.

A few of the people on this board would probably have a better track record drafting than Hurney and Fox. Seriously, hard to imagine how they could do any worse...

plenty to talk about and being excited are two different things. I'd rather have shit boring as hell and successful. I can't be happy about this.

Lead post got a smile out of me.

I wonder if Fox is getting punch drunk, or resigned to his fate. Or just frozen in disbelief. Before at least he showed some visible anger or frustration. Now his eyes just seem to be glazed over.

don't think he's asking you or any one else to be happy about the situation, nor do I think he's happy about it either. Something's got to change though. Either Fox needs to regain control of the team or some one that can needs to be brought in. Enough with the soundbites, let's see some results.

    Minter summed it up best.

The story is when a wildebeest gets caught by a lion and the lion grabs his neck, the wildebeest just kind of gives up, wide-eyed and just laying there," safety Mike Minter said in the Gaston Gazette. "What coach was saying is, 'Guys, I'm that wildebeest. I give up.' "

    Dear John,

Please ask our opponents if they mind playing our home games at their place this year. Since we can only win on the road and they will surely agree because they will think they have an advantage, and then we can win the rest of our games. Thanks a lot for never letting us come to Charlotte to see a win.

    Your friend,

    Silver

If Ryne was playing for a team that actually cared about special teams, he might be off to a better start. We should wait more than a month before throwing him in the garbage can.
