I hate to say I don't enjoy it like I use to but I honestly don't. I'm cutting back on the number of games I go to this year.

Hell I remember going to some games in the Seifert era that were just wild even in losing efforts.

They need to sell beer in the stands. I went to a Louiville game where they brought beer to you...a freaking college game.

When you lose over half your home games it's understandable.

Section 501 is loud and fans know when to make noise. Everyone is into the game. By the end things have quitened. It's difficult to cheer and curse at the same time.

Maybe we could have a first half cheer and a separate second half cheer.
Something like Panther Pride, Panther Power. In the second half when a two touchdown lead is blown we could switch to Dumb Shits, Dam Dumb.

Best way to spend a Panther home game Sunday is to get uptown about 10:00, party with the wine and cheese crowd and then go to a corner bar to watch the Steelers kick some ass.

It's a circle. Fans are loud, the opposing offense is disrupted, players are fired up and play better. Fans get louder, so on and so forth.

More oftern than not the players break the circle. I'm not talking about one or two bad plays. It's difficult to continue to cheer on 3rd and short when we've not made the last half dozen and fumbled the ball twice in trying.

Actually I think it's hard to cheer on 3rd and short when the majority of the fans don't even realize it's 3rd and short.

I miss those 49er games. I understand were in the South now with 3 other southern teams but i do miss playing the 49ers every two years. They were my most hated team as a child. It was a natural enemy for me. I do miss that. Plus, we always played great against them.

The South did look like a chump league when announced having so many perenial losers and us a still young expansion team. But in fairness, weve probably represented the conference better than any other division.

This year it looks that way, but the NFC South has sent a team to the NFC Championship game every year that the division has existed.

    Cattrax:
Clearly you have no idea what it means to be a fan and therefore you are part of the problem. I've been a Tar Heels fan all my life and have been to numerous football games (although no basketball games, oddly) and I also attended ECU for grad school before they became marginally respectable again the last two years, so I'm well acquainted with cheering losing football teams. Granted, college is a little different, but at any level you as a fan are supposed to cheer for your team. I understand that it's easy to do so when your team is kicking ass and taking names, but anyone can do the easy thing. Fans, real fans, are supposed to keep it up even when things are going poorly because, real or imagined, that's when the team needs fans the most. Cheering only when the team is doing well means that you are not a fan, you're a spectator.

I agree. The atmosphere at BoA is awful and makes me reluctant to go when I do have access to tickets. I'd much rather attend a college game, win or lose.

Hell they oughtta bring you a fucking beer for 6 bucks apiece. That's probably why many fans don't cheer, they're not drunk enough because they price us out of buying beer.

Last game I snuck my flask in and just drank liquor, and I never drink liquor, and really don't like it. But I'll be damned if I'm gonna buy a lot of beer at $6.25 apiece. Fucking ridiculous.
