Ok let me try to grade our preseason and give my Outlook for this season. First the preseason I give the panthers a B- grade overall .The reason it a B- grade is because I thought in the first game and tonight game even though the starters hope that I spell this right. Anyway when the starters wore on the field in the both Giants and tonight game overall they really good. Now the eagles’ game and the game last week that was a deferent story but to the defense the panthers they both last week then in the eagles game. Now one area that really concerning me is not our secondary plays both more is our Special team .If we want to make the playoff and maybe go all the way and win it all. The special team must improve and it no to be happen ASAP. And I think that secondary plays should not be a big concern as long as the front 7 putting pressure on the QB. Then we should be fine. Now on Offense I think DW should start in game 1.I mean don’t get me wrong D foster is a very good Rb. But DW is like 89 when DW teach the ball you know that most of the time good thing will happen .now let me say it very good sign that Keary Colbert had a very good preseason and if he can have a similar season to his rookie season then this team will have a good season .Now I know it just preseason and all of that. But With all of that said. I see already similarity to 03 teams schedule is the about the some as in 03.But even more importantly this team like in 03 is flying under the radar. When you watch all the sports show or listen them on TV. None of them as picking the panthers to make into the supper bowl .Now assuming that we stay healthy Then there is no reason why this team can’t do a redo of 2003.Now will it happen who know. But I think this team can and should surprise alt of people for good

Ball had a good game and probably solidified a roster spot particularly if McClover's groin injury is bad (possibly PUP if severe which would allow us to hold onto Grigsby awhile longer as well.) I'd almost swear Ball played DT as well tonight for a few plays, I may be wrong though.

Anybody else bothered by the fact Robinson has had three fumbles in four games?

Biddle shot himself in the ass with his fumble.

    Shelton looks like a goner.

Beason can lay wood, but at this level he needs to lock up. The play on the sideline where both he and Strait (?) both had two shots at the guy is worrisome. He made plays all over the field tonight.

Horn may have cost himself any chance with the bonehead manuever at the goaline fielding that punt.

Montgomery didn't do himself any favors with the short snap to Bell.

Butler can't even get in the way much less block. If he'd have hit some one on the sweep to his side, the back may have gained a few more yards on the play.

CB play was pretty good tonight as well. Strait and Deloatch made some plays as did Morton.

I felt much better about our D again. We have Jake Original, Jake #2 and Jake #3. They can all play, but all of them will throw a boneheaded ball now and then. Stick with the one who has the most Smitty chemistry.
