What is the significance of "Injured Reserve"? I know it means the player is done for the year, but what else? Is that roster spot now open? Is the salary cap effected?

    Mike Seidman on IR. Shocker.

2 of the top 3 rookie centers on IR? That's a little weird...

It does open a roster spot, but I don't think it provides any cap relief.

What? I didn't see that. That's some pretty shit luck there, breaking your leg 2 years in a row.

Sproles looks pretty damn good tonight, especially for someone who supposedly has a broken leg.
