    hes a big hitter but he is not dirty. everyone remembers the hit on ferguson because (as pointed out earlier) it was in an opposing stadium, and the packers always get special treatment. he'll always be seen as dirty by packers fans but the same goes for thomas davis.

    He's missed alot of time in recent years, but at vet min he'd be worth having. I just don't know that he'd be that much better than letting the young'n's duke it out.

    It definitely wouldn't hurt to bring him in, and he's already worked some with Deke Cooper in JAX. I agree with Magnus that he's an upgrade over Shaun Williams. But I also agree with Mr. Scot's sentiment -- if we sign him, great. If not, meh. No skin off my nose.

    people who think Salley is good enough, and/or think that the difference between a former first round pick and a 4th rounder who couldn't beat out Kevin McCadam is a small difference - why?

    Plan A didn't succeed (draft, seeing as we showed no interest in anyone during FA) and I don't believe Salley has ever been Plan B. This type of guy would be, and I feel like we'd be the front runners out of that list.
